Thomas Hardy aka Hardy is a beautiful little lurcher lad of about 18 months. Hardy was a pound dog so we don’t have any history before he came to us, but he arrived with a foreleg previous break, which had started to fix itself.
We have taken specialist advice and he has had a period of rest and is now starting to gradually increase his activity levels, alongside physiotherapy.
Hardy is ready to go to his new family, with support from Luna to cover his physiotherapy and for ongoing care regarding his leg.
Hardy is a lovely lad, who is crate trained and is happy to be left for up to 4 hours as long as he has a doggy friend who he can see. Hardy would not like to be an only dog, and gets quite distressed if left completely without a person or dog.
Hardy’s perfect home would have at least one other dog or more, who wants to play, and likes being cuddled up to. Hardy can live with children, and is very gentle natured, however not very small ones due to the nature of his previous injury and ongoing recovery. Hardy has seen cats and had no negative reaction so could live with a dog savvy and friendly cat. Hardy is in foster with small animals and chickens and is not overly interested in them.
Hardy is in foster in Letchworth, Herts and will need to be adopted within approximately an hour radius in order to return to the area for physiotherapy.
